We Believe

“On the Coast, as it is in Heaven.”

2

We Are Called

To follow Jesus, by living the Way of Jesus.

3

We Abide

In Yahweh to become like Jesus, and do as He did.

Guiding Principles

Our guiding principles influence our decisions that we make as a church. We see them as foundational for the vision God is leading us into. We liken it to a garden of Gods people flourishing – preparing for the harvest!

1

Growth and Kingdom Building

Our church recognises that God is calling us to a season of growth, for His kingdom.

2

Counting the Cost

Our church sees that God is asking us to count the cost of what He is calling us to in this growth for His Kingdom.

3

Abiding & People Above Programmes

Our church acknowledges that abiding in Jesus and doing life together (pastoral care) must come before programmes and events.

Key Strategies

We liken our 5 Key Strategies to the parts of a tree – that when we do these things well, a person can be like a healthy tree and find a whole new way to be human in Jesus.

1

Abiding in Yahweh

A clear desire and call is for this church to be a “house of prayer for all nations”.

Our abiding in Yahweh is essential to how we live individually and as a church family. Not simply to lay requests before God, but to be in communion with the living God in every moment of life.

2

Church Family Community

Our church recognises that to be “the church” is more than a Sunday service, but of being committed to one another.

Our desire is to care for one another and live as the church in our day-to-day. That as we commit to one another, we become one another’s strength.

3

Focus on Younger Generations

Our churches heart is to see younger generations flourish in our church family and in our community.

We desire to be a people that offer support, encouragement and look for ways to change the culture amongst youth on the Coast.

4

Discipleship and Habits of Jesus

Our church family desires to be more like Jesus and to do as He did.

Our heart is to learn and live in what Jesus called “the Way”. That through the habits of Jesus and discipleship, we thrive in our walk with Jesus.

5

Justice through Mission

Justice through mission is a Christian concept that involves demonstrating the gospel through mercy and justice.

It’s a core part of the church’s mission to follow Christ’s example.
