We are followers of Jesus.”Transforming Lives” describes what we are on about. God wants to change the world by transforming people. We aim to be a church where that is happening,  for all of us. We are a church that wants all of us to be growing in our walk with God. We are a church that:

To become a visible community of  relationships inspired by our hero Jesus, building a future of encouragement and hope for the Pohutukawa Coast.

Our Mission:

We are a community church who seek to introduce the community to Jesus, help people to be more like him, and then reproduce the process in others.

Our Core Values:

Worship God Only (Mark 12:28 – 30)
In todays world, many things compete against God for devotion. This can lead to modern day idolatry. So worshipping God essentially understanding that the revelation of God is only through knowing the person of Jesus and the revelation of Him that we discover of him in the Bible (the authority in all matters of faith and practice.

Intimacy with God
God desires an intimate relationship with every believer through the power of the Holy Spirit. Through prayer, meditation, worship and Bible study we can pursue and achieve intimacy with the Father.

Respect and Love ALL people with humility (Mark 12:31)
‘Agape’ means respect, affection, good will and concern for the welfare of the loved one. Humility is a quality of being courteously respectful of others. Respecting and loving others also includes not bearing a grudge to a perceived wrong. Jesus told us we must reconcile with each other, and letting go of your anger.

Maintain the Highest Standards of Morality (1 Corinthians 6: 19 – 20)
Jesus gave a list of actions that constitute immoral uses of the body. Paul gave similar lists. We have often thought of morality in terms of sexual sin, but according to Jesus, sins such as slander, greed, covetousness, deceit and arrogance are equally immoral.

Carry out the Great Commission  with a pursuit of Excellence
We believe that all believers have the responsibility of carrying out the great commission in their sphere of influence. As gifted members of the body of Christ, each believer is responsibility for exercising their gifts with an attitude and pursuit of excellence.

Belong to a “Priesthood” of all believers community
Accountability, care, and a sense of belonging are critical to balance and progress in our spiritual journey.
